DD has a salad for lunch today, apple juice, and strawberries and grapes.
Wow my DD would be starving if I sent her with that lol. I pack a sandwich, a yogurt, apple sauce, a piece of fresh fruit or a bag of baby carrots, string cheese, and usually sunflower seeds and dried cranberries. And 2 juice boxes and a bottle of water.
(I should also say that my DD is very active and gets very hungry lol. She turns 7 this week.)
Re: I need some healthy school lunch ideas?
Salad with chopped hardboiled egg
pretzels and carrot sticks with hummus
pretzles and apple slices with peanut butter
whole grain pancakes with pumpkin butter and turkey sausage
leftover spinach pizza with whole grain crust
whole grain bagel sandwiches (dd like the mini ones)
Google some of the kid bento lunch blogs. Even if you don't want to use bentos you can steal some cute ideas.
Thanks for the ideas, your always so helpful!!!

DD is a very picky eater. She gets milk at school, but this is what I pack for lunch:
Tosted mini-bagel or english muffin, and 1-2 cheese sticks (part skim mozzerella).
Pita with turkey and cheese (no mayo or mustard, she doesn't like either)
Toasted mini-bagel with hummus.
Sometimes I send her to school with eggo waffles.
