Cloth Diapering

How many reusable cloth wipes?

Trying to get my stash ready :)

About how many cloth wipes do you go through a day?

Re: How many reusable cloth wipes?

  • I'd say I usually use 1 per change, 2 per poop.

    Haha that sounds funny.

  • I have 36 but I haven't used more than 24 in 2 days.  I'd say have at least 25-30 if you plan to do laundry every other day.

  • We use one per pee, and 3-4 per poop.  I have about 40-50 flannel wipes, which is a bit excessive, but I have never run out...

  • I made 50 flannel ones for my twin girls and I wish I had about 20 more. I do laundry every other night and sometimes I have to dig into my washcloth stash to make it though the night. So for one baby, I'd say 30ish would be good for every other day laundry.

  • I have almost 50! I went a little overboard when I was pregnant and I made a bunch.

I usually only have to use one per change. I have a micro-terry on one side and flannel on the other.

I normally only use 12-15 per day. I have extras stashed all over the house since I have so many...I use them for drool, cleaning hands, emergency breast pads (folded up)...coasters Embarrassed

  • I have flannel backed with OBV ones and only need 1 per diaper change poop or not (they are awesome). I only have 12 right now and that gets me thru 1 day. I say 24 ish would be perfect for me since I wash every other. If you need some for your diaper bag then I would say another 5 or 6 more for that.

  • I have about 30 and never run out.
  • I'd recommend getting a handful of nicer ones (WAHM) then make or have someone make you some cheap ones.  Most of mine are made by my mom from leftover flannel she had from another project.  I could get by with 1 wipe, but I like to use 2, so that the 2nd wipe is dry and removes any leftover moisture.  My DS is a chunky monkey and prone to rashes, so I want to make sure he is as dry as possible!
