b/c we haven't had one of these posts in a while...
i've never been bothered by someone entering the stall next to me, and it never occurred to me that others might not like that. i usually use the one closest to the door, but if someone's already in it, i'd go to the one next to it.
today, someone was already in the stall closest to the door - I automatically skipped the middle stall and went to the next one. and then realized i only do this b/c someone (lisa?) posted about being weirded out by others peeing next to her when a further stall was available. just thought i'd share
little by little, these rants do make the world a better place
Re: random (NBR) bathroom thought of the day
Hm, I think I inherently avoid using the stall right next to someone if it's obvious which ones are occupied (sometimes, depending on the bathroom/stalls, I feel like it's hard to tell and I'm not going to spend that much time on figuring out which stalls are occupied). But I don't mind if someone uses the one right next to me...
Sometimes, when I go into a stall and I can tell the person in the neighboring stall is not just doing #1, I'll switch stalls =P

hehe. so - if you go into a bathroom with a friend of yours, do you continue your conversation while in the stalls? i do, b/c it feels weird to just stop mid-conversation, but it also feels weird to be talking through the walls, especially if there are other ppl in the bathroom!
LOL!! I totally do the same thing and think of Lisa every single time that it happens.
I am now shunning those of you who use the first available stall with no thought to proper spacing. SHUNNING.
LOL I find it kind of hilarious that you guys now pay attention to not sitting right next to someone...especially since I've had no less than four of my IRL friends tell me the same thing (can you tell I rant about bathroom etiquette a lot?). Those of us with courtesy space neuroses thank you.
Oh, and I'm totally with whoever mentioned talking on the phone (sorry, forgot already who it was!). I mean...WHY? Why would you do that? First, why would you have an object that you rub on your face out and about in an area with so many airborne germs? Second, it is just seriously weird when you're talking on the phone to someone and you suddenly realize that they're in the bathroom. That's a conversation killer right there lol!
lol yeah I hate it when ppl use their phones in the bathroom! I always just say "hey, I gotta use the restroom, I'll call you back". I don't understand why they can't just do that if they really needed to use the bathroom while they were on the phone.
EXACTLY! Unless you talking to me on the phone in the loo is the only way to diffuse the bomb that will blow up a shopping mall full of innocent civilians, it's really not necessary.
