Will outdoors pics look good if it's cloudy?

We want to take DD to the pumpkin patch, but it's cloudy outside.  We don't have a fancy camera (we have a Canon Powershot Elph)....   do you think the pics will come out good?

Pictures actually come out better when its cloudy - you don't have everybody squinting in the sunlight

Ditto pp. Pictures generally come out better when it's cloudy. The light is diffused, so people aren't squinting as much and there aren't any harsh shadows.

My DH works in a creative design studio.  He says they love cloudy days to photgraph their models because the light is so much better.

Ditto on what pp's said. ?My pics always come out way better when it's cloudy or a bit overcast.
