medela freestyle 'error' code???

I have the medela freestyle pump. This morning when I turned it on it says "err" like error code on the screen. I pressed the 'letdown' button and it is still functioning sucking in air, etc. Does anyone know what this means?

This happened to me when the battery came out.  It worked for me if I kept it plugged in until it was fully charged (even if it was already partially charged, it has to be fully charged to override the error).  I could pump when it was plugged in, so that was good.  Hope that helps!

I got the error message when the battery wasn't in correctly.

Yep.  It is in the user manual.  It means the battery was taken out or came loose somehow.  It will need to be recharged for 24 hours to maintain its usual charge.  I had a similar situation.
