When did you (or do you plan to) switch from car seats to stroller seats? I like the convenience of the snap and go for car trips, but I mainly use the stroller for walking... and the car seats are getting HEAVY. I live in a 3 story place so I've been carrying them up and down the stairs, and my back's paying the price. Is it too early to switch (babies are 5 months and range from approx 11-16 lbs)? It seems like it'd be a PITA to go back and forth b/w the car seats and stroller seats. Advantages/Disadvantages of switching?

Re: Pea-kay, Ruby or others with the PP Triplette Stroller
::twin momma butting in::
I have the PP Duette. We just switched to convertible car seats 2 weeks ago and ditched the ridiculously heavy PP infant seats. I LOVE the stroller seats. I had completely forgotten what they looked like b/c like Ruby, we never took them out of the box. They have a 5 point harness that allows for lots of movement, the seat reclines and the canopy has the ability to completely cover the seat. The boys are much, much happier in the stroller seats!
The PITA part is carrying them to and from van and house. PITA! We're keeping our PnP by the garage door so one can sit in it while the other one is being strapped into their carseat. As if life and logistics (going places) with multiples wasn't difficult enough. I can't wait till I can say "everyone in the van!"
I've heard of people putting the seats on the stroller, then resting the infant seats in the stroller seat. It works, as long as you're not going up and down hills and on lots of bumpy roads. The carseats will stay in the stroller seats.
When the boys were that little, I only used that stroller if I was going to be alone. Most of the time, I still used the single and double SNG.
It kind of is a PITA to be going from carseats to stroller seats, but that's what you're going to be doing soon anyway.
(Wait, in case I misunderstood - do you use the triplette with the PP infant seats? I did not.)
And for funsies, here's how big the boys were the first time they sat in it. Awww!

Pea-Kay, love the photo! I really like that they can face each other too!
