Creative way to ask God parents to be?

Do you girls know of any creative ways of asking someone to be a God parent?

We want to ask DH's good friend, who lives out of town, this weekend to be our LO's God Father but I really want to do it in a special way. The problem is that I am not creative AT ALL! lol

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly I'd just outright ask them.  When DH and were asked the couple told us why they wanted us and that was enough to make us feel special.  It is an honor in and of itself.  Sometimes I think that we overthink all of this.  It is such a special thing I'd just talk to them from the heart.

I do not recommend texting him- Hubby texted DD#1s godmother to let her know.  Thank goodness it was his sister but still, he got a complete lecture about it from me at the time.  This time he took his other sister out to lunch.
