Nikki or whoever- MS Pocket Question

I bought 2 MS pockets (thanks Nikki!) which I've never seen before since she doesn't make them anymore, and I just have a question about the inserts. They seem really small and thin- does anyone know what they're made of? Those of you who have used them, was the insert enough or did you use more? Just curious, thanks! :)

    I added extra because I just didn't trust it.  I never tried with just the insert it came with, so it very well may have been enough, but I didn't want to chance it.

    They are bamboo. I always added a small bg insert to it. I didn't trust it alone.
