9 month growth spurt?

Is there such a thing?

My boys usually take about 28oz of formula a day... today, they drank 35oz (including 14oz at bedtime!)

Re: 9 month growth spurt?

  • My first thought is to increase your solids.  At 6 months my pedi told us their milk intake (BM or F) shouldn't increase- if they are hungry to increase the solids.

I didn't see you had posted- I sent you a PM

  • They gobbled their solids too - probably twice as much as they normally eat.

I think I need to give them more table food - I'm just too lazy (to make it, and then to clean up the mess that follows).

Off to respond to your PM

All of this is exactly my boys.  They turned 9 months on Saturday, and they've been eating like crazy!  I'm also the same way with table food.  Purees are just so much easier.  Especially since we eat after they go to bed.  Defrosting cubes is much easier than cooking something for them or coordinating leftovers from the night before.
