Do you rinse right away or do you just do it once a day? I have 3 in cloth and I feel like i'm rinsing poopy diapers all the time. It's a PITA because I have to whip out the rubber gloves, rinse, wring out, and wash the gloves and then my hands and wipe down the toilet, etc. I started rinsing them just once a day but then it seemed a little gross having poopy diapers sitting on the bathroom floor waiting to be rinsed, especially since we only have one bathroom, plus it made the bathroom stink.
What do you do?
Re: Those who CD 2+, a poop question...
i'm about to have two in cd's, but for right now it's just dd...
maybe i'm a lazy (bad) cloth mommy, but i don't spray at all. i plop out the poo and toss in the diaper pail... i do have a sprayer, but i really don't use it unless i've got a big mess or specks of poo.
if you feel like it's too much of an ordeal right now to spray each time, maybe try some disposable liners would help you out?
1. I don't use gloves, so it cuts out those steps.
2. I dunk the diaper in the toilet, usually sticking my hand inside the pocket (we mainly use BG) and swish around to get as much poop off as possible.
3. I wring the diaper out and throw it in the pail. Done!
P.S. DS only poops once a day (sometimes 2-3 if he's sick) and I dunk the diaper right after I change it.
