XP: need suggestions on dining out in SA

I'll be there in a few weeks for a bachelorette party and we'll want a place for dinner Sat night.  Nothing super fancy/expensive (some of the girls are still in college) but I'd like to be able to reserve a table since there are 15 of us.

We're staying at the St. Anthony, so ideally walking distance would be great.

Also - is there cheaper parking close to the SA?  Last time I stayed there it was well over $20 for overnight.  Just curious if there are cheaper lots, even if they are a little further away.

TIA

Re: XP: need suggestions on dining out in SA

  • there is a parking lot caddy corner to the st. anthony that is relatively cheap for overnight parking. it's an outdoor lot (not a garage) if that's ok, but our guests all parked there when we had our wedding reception at the hotel. as far as dinner goes, texas de brazil just opened a few months ago and it's literally right around the corner. i dont know what you mean by not expensive, but it's about 45-50 dollars per person and it's all you can eat. basically the same idea as a fogo de chao if you're familiar with that. if you're looking for a bar to start the night off, the texan 2 is right across the street. my brother is a bartender there and i know he'd be more than happy to cater to a bachelorette party! let me know if you want/need more details! have fun!

  • My FAVORITE place to eat downtown at an affordable price is Acenar. It's yummy!

I hope you all enjoy your trip to San Antonio!
