Donate a bed?

Noisemaker

We have a bed (queen mattress boxspring and frame) that won't fit in our new house and I'd like to donate it, if possible.  I've checked goodwill and safe place and they don't take beds.  It's in great shape--a former guest room bed, so rarely used.   

Any other ideas for me?  Ideally they'd come get it, since we don't have a truck to haul it in.

Salvation Army usually takes mattresses. Or you could just post it for free on Craigslist.  Or you could sell it on Craigslist, if you wanted to go the financial route.  Price it right and people will come out of the woodwork to buy it.

you might check with austin angels- i know they needed beds not too long ago.  i don't know how ongoing the need is, but it can't hurt to check.
