for those who BF and count calories

(Reposted from Health and Exercise)

-First, how many calories to allot yourself a day?

-How do you get your calcium?

I'm allowed about 1610 cals a day and I'm having a hard time getting enough calcium since milk is high in cals, and fat free yogurts and cheeses don't have high amounts of calcium...

Do I just need to eat tons of broccoli??  Anyone got a better idea?

TIA!

Re: for those who BF and count calories

  • I count "points" not calories so I am not sure how many I consume.  I am on weight watchers and I have at least 3 servings of dairy a day (typically 2 cups of 2% milk as well as yogurt or cheese).

I do the exact same thing.  WW is awesome for helping with all of that!

  • There are other foods that have lots of calcium too - try almonds!
