We're having a pretty lame dinner week - Ben's out of town again... When it's just me and the kids we have easy stuff they like In no particular order:
whole wheat french toast, chicken sausage patties (previously made and frozen), strawberries
turkey tacos, black beans, corn, homemade guac
frozen pizzas and salad from a bag
baked chicken 'nuggets' (previously made by me and frozen), oven fries and baby carrots
pasta alla mommy (my version of PW's Penne alla Betsy, chicken subbed for the shrimp, no onions and I add frozen chopped spinach)
and one night we'll pick up Panera (which I suggest for you! early in my pregnancy with Henry a nice cold, crispy greek salad from Panera with a big piece of buttered bread was always edible when everything else sounded gross
Can I just come to both of your houses and have you cook for me? That would be fabulous, thanks ;-)
I figured since everything sounds disgusting I should just try all new recipes and hope for the best. I figured since everyone raved about the skinny taste recipes I would try some of those so please give some reviews if youve tried any of these (as well as an substitutions that might be good):
Sun: cilantro lime rice, black bean salad & grilled chicken over lettuce (burrito bowl-ish)
Tues: Asian Peanut Noodles w/ Chicken (skinny taste)
Wed: Asian Glazed drumsticks w/ broccoli and rice (skinny taste)
Thurs: Meatball hoagys (already have some previously frozen meatballs so this will be easy) dunno what sides?
Fri: Leftovers
Sat: Spinach Lasagna Rolls- Ups w/ Salad and garlic bread
Sun: Some sort of frozen meal....maybe some frozen homemade tomato soup (its a Michael Chiarello recipe and its AMAZING) I have with grilled cheese or something?
This week I'm trying to use up everything perishable in my fridge and minimize the buying of more food since we'll be heading on vacation soon. I love re-purposing leftovers because you totally feel like you're getting a brand new meal!
Tonight: Grilling out! BBQ Chicken breast, corn on the cob, salad
Mon: spicy turkey lasagna in the crockpot
Tues: Nada with my Mom..were going to see Shrek at the Aranoff : )
Weds: Panera broccoli cheddar soup (they sell at Sams!!) and salad
Thurs: Italian pork chops, sweet potatoes and black bean & corn salad
Fri: Dh out of town.. More than likely Panera the rest of the week. Ditto Hannah... Panera soup and salads always sound good!

tonight was grilled steaks with balsamic, rosemary & blue cheese marinade, sweet potato fries, asparagus (for me) and salad. DS had his left over Hot Head burrito bowl and veggies.
the rest of the week:
chicken w/roasted red peppers and spinach, w/ couscous
WED & THURS: the boys are on their own, since I work late (waaaah!) and will be eating comped takeout at my desk. DH will probably do spaghetti and meatballs, one night, and something like grilled cheese and soup, the other.
Re: WFD this week?
Everything sounds pretty disgusting to me too. I forgot how much these meds made all food seem gross. But since I have to eat something...
Vegetarian bean soup, Bean and spinach enchiladas in pumpkin sauce, Mango Black Bean Curry, Tortilla soup and that's all I got right now.
