Trigger is usually last day of stims or day after?

I have only had one cycle, so I am a newb.  But I have done quite a bit of reading so I will give you my best guess as an answer.  However, this website has good calendars:

Usually you go in for a 3rd follie check or so, and they have you trigger instead of stim that night.  Stims last 8-14 (but usually 10-12) days. However, if your estradial is very high (over 3000?) they may delay the trigger by a day.  There may well be other reasons to delay the trigger, but this is the one I have heard about from my doctor.

I took my last stims on day of trigger.ETA: I checked my calendar and I DID NOT stim on the day of trigger. So sorry! I remembered wrong.

Great, thanks! How did your stims go?  How are the follies looking?  (ps you're an atty right?  Me too! lol) 

Yup, I'm an attorney. My stims went well.  Follistim was fine, Ganirelix was slightly painful, trigger was the best of the injections.  I feel lucky that my wife is a PA in cardiac surgery because I never had to worry about them being done correctly.  We were told to do stims in the evening at the same time every night.  The first night we did it at home, but over the course of them we also did them in restaurant bathrooms, my sister's house, and a small live music concert all bathroom!  

I am shocked at how well the follie check went!  20 follicles over 14mm, estradial 2282, endo thickness 11.80.  I triggered last night. I have been doing pretty well with the side effects, though the trigger has made my entire stomach feel bruised and my boobs exploded overnight. Not sure I will be running today.

Usually you would stop stims the day before, and most likely you'll trigger 36 hours before ER.  Good luck with your plan!

I'll send you my calendar, but mine shows I will still do stims the day of trigger.  I guess I'll find out in time.
