So, if something needs to be prewashed multiple times, can I just wash it, then set the same cycle again, or does it need to be dried in between washing?
Also, if something isn't prewashed enough, is there something bad that will happen or is it just that it won't hold as much liquid as a properly prewashed diaper?
Ugh, for some reason prewashing totally confuses me and I feel like there are so many variables and different ideas about it.
For the record, I'm doing a trial, so I have BG 4.0, FuzziBunz One-Size and Perfect Size, Flip, some Bamboo fitteds and a Thirsties cover. And I have an HE front-loader. Feel free to give me any assistance.
ETA: Oh, and I'm using Rocking Green detergent.
Re: This is probably a really dumb question re prewashing
Ah, cool. Thank you!
Yep. I almost never prep things fully. I'm too lazy and don't like to use all that water. I just wash them a couple times and dry. Then I don't fully count on them to be as absorbent as they should be until I've used them (and washed them) several more times. I've never had them leak because I didn't prep enough - they just weren't as absorbent.
