preemies get hoarse easier?

I heard that preemies lose their voice or get hoarse easier than full term babies from having tubes and what not down their throats for so long...anyone else hear this? Well, DD got a cold last week and lost her little voice it has been gone for a while now....anyone else's DC have this happen? It makes me sad

I've never heard this. My DD was on a vent for 6 weeks and I have never heard her get hoarse.
