Anyone else have issues with Peg carseat?

The straps come loose even though they are properly tightened! GRRRR! 

We bought the Peg Primo Viaggio SIP carseat when my daughter was born and had been using it with DS as it has not passed the Peg's expiration date for the seat. I properly secured DS in the seat and a couple of times after a trip somewhere I would notice that the straps were loose. I just thought he had scrunched himself down in the seat to cause this. I realized this was not the case when I drove for a hour to my parents how and when I went to get him out one of the straps was loose and down by his elbow. Thank god we did not get in accident. It makes me shudder just to think about it. The straps are properly attached and he was definitely properly secured following the manufacturer directions.

Their customer service is horrible IMO. I called at one point and got a message saying they were at lunch and to call back in an hour - WTF. I called Peg and the customer service representative had me check out the seat and basically they were useless and told me "I don't know why that is happening" and "don't use the seat". Then complete silence on their end. I makes me mad because I spent alot of money on that seat because I thought they would make a safe and secure seat for my child to sit in. Clearly not.
