S/O: Those who don't have landlines

Who/what do you use for internet?

We really don't need the landline, but we do need the (wireless) internet for our PC and iPhone's.

  • We have Comcast for cable and internet.

  • We have Qwest and they bundle our internet service with our DirectTV.  They have a landline option, but we're fine without it.

  • We use comcast for Internet only, however DH's company pays for it.

  • Comcast for TV/internet - both very basic packages ($55/month total bill)

  • Any type of internet can be wireless. All you have to do is go to Best Buy or wherever and get a wireless router.

  • We're using the Comcast bundle and we just don't use the landline.  It actually reduced our cable/internet cost by $10/mo to get the 3-piece bundle and just not use the landline.  Weird, but it works.

Do you know which cable package you have? I'd like to cut ours down even more than we already have but we do still need the internet.

We have Comcast for TV/Internet as well ..but I hate them and wouldn't recommend them for the most part!: )

  • We used to have comcast and now have clear.  The laptop version of the clear modem is crap, but the home version of the modem is fine (no difference between clear and comcast in that regard).  I don't know which is more expensive; i think it depends which package you get (for clear or comcast).

  • our cable package is "limited cable service" but I just looked at our bill and I was wrong about the amount - it's $71 w/ taxes etc.  I need to call on Mondy and get it lowered, they'll usually lower it if you call and talk to their "retention dept."
