Wipes?

I just bought my cd'ing set up and am ready to get started.  I did have a question regarding wipes.  I saw at the store that they had them and they were $1.25 a piece.  They looked just like wash clothes.  

So, my question are.  Can I make my own?  How many should I have?  And, do you spray something on them or keep them in water or something?  Oh and what about a warmer?  I feel completely confused on how to use wipes.

I use grovia wipes, baby washcloths, and some homemade ones.   The ones I made myself are by far my best ones!   I use terry cloth and flannel to make them and I made them 9" x9".     

I just put damp wipes in a disposable wipes container.

I bought some cheap washcloths off amazon and just spray them down and they work fine. I think they were $5.99 for 12 plus free prime shipping.
