Hate it. As someone who had an unusual maiden name, I think she's going to spend the rest of her life spelling it out for people and having to correct it. That's just my 2 cents though.
This was my absolute favorite name when I was in high school. I loved that it was such a feminine name and that it had a unique spelling without being "uneek." I do think the spelling might pose problems, but not any more than Sarah with an H or Sara without an H since it is a legitimate spelling of the name.
My DD is Isabel, named after my aunt who spells it this way. Otherwise, we definitely would have considered Isobel. I do like it! (although it does remind me of isobars--but I'm a weather geek, so that's fine with me)

I also prefer Isabel... Isobel, I want to say iz-O-bel. I know it's a legitimate spelling, it just looks harsh to me for some reason, whereas Isabel looks and sounds softer. (IMO).

My husband hates the O too. I think he would prefer Isabel but he keeps mentioning Isabella which I'm not 100% in love with for some reason.
