Milestones and Reminders

It's so hard for me to not compare my little girl to other children her actual age. She's not crawling, pulling up, or heck barely rolling over. I just have to keep reminding myself: "Tara, she's only 9 months old adjusted. it will come". It's a bit frustrating but I know she's healthy and developmentally on track for most of her other milestones. Plus, she's a chunk and has issues with her "babeh chubs" getting in the way of gross motor skills. I just want to tell her "hurry up already and crawl!"

Re: Milestones and Reminders

  • I think it's safe to say that many moms have felt the way you do, including myself. You just have to let her do things at her own time. I know that is much easier said than done! But now that DS is almost 3, there are times when I wish that I didn't "rush" him into growing up so soon.

  • Keep reminding yourself!

It can be hard sometimes and that's normal.  (See my really long post lol!)

  • It's so hard not to compare!  I still do that with DD.  She seems to be at the lower end of normal for her talking compared to other kids I know her age.  I have to constantly remind myself that it's ok and no doctor has ever expressed any concerns with her development or speech.  I'm just a worried momma!

  • Thanks ladies! I'm glad I'm not the only one going through this!
