H and I have decided to try and tackle M's naps before we tackle any night time sleep. We're trying to avoid any CIO or CC, but I need her to nap in her bassinette/crib because DS is suffering no time alone with mommy.
Currently she has 3-4 naps a day, some on me (bjorn or while nursing), some in the stroller while we're out and about. I tried this morning, but her first nap is often a short nap (while feeding) and it didn't work; by the time she was really asleep, detaching from teh breast, she was ready to wake up, so did so as soon as I put her down.
I'm after advice please!
We swaddle at night, should I swaddle for naps? Or is it not a good idea at this point (4 months)? I don't have a car thru the week so cant' do carseat naps (which is a shame). Would you do a version of crying? If so, what would you recommend? (We used Ferber with DS for night time sleep, and will with DD, but I'm not convinced it'll work for naps - that she just won't hold out and be super cranky.
Re: nap help
If swaddling works at night, I'd try that for a nap. I typically only swaddle Alec at night, but if he's having a hard time napping I swaddle him. If she falls asleep in her stroller, maybe you and DS could take a stroll around the block?
Good luck!

I'm back at work now, but before I returned I did the stroller walk to get a nap going on many days.
We have always swaddled for naps too. At this point, it's one of the ways DS knows it time to sleep. He busts out of it all of the time, but it still helps him go down.
