I just need to AW that my BIL went to the HP amusement park for a business conference (weird since his job is NOT being a 12 year old girl).

He couldn't care less about anything Harry, but he came back with a present for me. 

A wand. 

I damn near shat myself. I am now an outfitted nerd. I needed to share this with people who would understand.

I think we might be soulmates. Also, DH made fun of me relentlessly the other night when I tried summoning charms to get my cell phone. They didn't work and he called me a squib. I suck.

Nope. Canadian's only have Canada's Wonderland. There is no Harry Potter, and it is not rad. I have to cross the border for wizards.

Shucks. Now my sister wins. We've been arguing whether to have our big family vacation at Disney World or Disneyland. I've been arguing for Disneyland solely because it's closer to me. She's been pushing Epcot, but obviously The Wizarding World of Harry Potter makes her the winner. Hands down.

Oh, well. I still have a shot at the Good Daughter Competition.

I said Expelliarmus to my husband. And then Avada Kedavra. He was so upset I used the killng curse on him.

Butting in to say that I live in Orlando, and got in free to the park with my work ID, and literally the DAY that I was cleared for fun after my c-sec, I made Ex take me to the park to play in Harry Potter land. And yes, it is awesome.

Butter beer is delicious, even though it would be more delicious if it was alcoholic, and I nearly shat myself on the new Harry Potter ride. Although I won't admit that to anyone IRL.

Yay for you and your wand!

I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and used to live in Orlando and Daytona Beach for years (recently moved to Charleston, SC).  I was so upset when I was pregnant and wouldn't be able to go to Universal last summer when it opened.  It would've been pointless to go while preggo.  I had to suffer as all my FB friend kept posting their pics and saying how awesome it was.  I told my mom I had to go before we moved, so my parents and MIL agreed to come with DH and me after DS was born.  So DS got to go when he was 6 weeks old   Selfish mommy I know.  

It really was awesome.  The ride was totally worth waiting for.  It was just incredible.  And of course the Butterbeer was so delicious (I liked the frozen one better).  They have a regular one and a frozen one.  It was just so amazing to take it all in.  

Oh and I was EBFing at the time so it was a bit of a challenge but I had DH keep my place in line when I had to step out to feed DS
