DH came home from work as I was giving DS2 his bottle before bed. DH took him and continued to give him his bottle. DS2 was being really fussy and I told DH I'd take him but he said he wanted to put him to bed. It totally blew me away since he has never done that! After a long day with DS2 it was so sweet and nice to see him do that!

You should reward him with some nookie, then gradually wean off the nookie until he's trained to do it on command.
