3 Month Old and Startling....

Hello, everyone.  I was wondering if anyone could help me.  My three and a half month old startles so easily.  He seems to be developing on track and is such a happy baby.  However, I can start talking to him and he'll jump and look scared, then smiles.  If I show him a toy and maybe shake it, he'll jump and startle.  He just seems to startle so easily.  Is this normal?  When should this calm down?

Normal for his age. It should lessen as he gets older.

Definitely normal.  Whenever L would get startled I would make a point of smiling at him so that he would not start crying and be cool with strange sounds.
