On the road coming into my 'hood, two lanes merge into one. Everyone places it all nicey-nicey and takes turns, one car from the left, one car from the right, etc. Except the douchedick today who thought it was fair that two cars from the left lane go first without letting anyone from the right lane (me) in. Except I was already 2/3 of a car length ahead of him. So he had no choice but to let me in, all the while laying on his horn. Nice.
So THEN he pulls out some kind of camera looking thing with a cord on it (web cam?? laser tagger??) and I assume takes a picture of my license plate. Or something.
So, um, WTH? Reporting my plates to police for merging correctly is fine by me. But are there creepy things this person could do with my license plate? Did he like, laser tag my bumper so that he can use GPS to find out where I live?
Why do people suck? I'm glad I'm on my way to pick up DH.
Re: Well that was creepy...
Extra creepy!
As far as I know, it is possible to look up someone's license plate number online for a fee and find out the address on the vehicle registration. But, I am sure he was just being a weirdo and trying to freak you out.

Yikes, that is super creepy. I don't know what he's doing with the camera/laser scaner thingy, but we were able to look up the plates of the person that hit us a few days ago very easily. We got address & phone # for where the vehicle is registered.
that would totally creep me out!
confession: years ago when cell phones weren't super everyday, but i had one....
if someone pissed me off on the road, i would get out a pen and act like i was writing down their plate and act like i was on the phone (ya know, calling the police). hey, this was when i was a hothead in college. not my proudest moments :0
the reason for the story is--maybe the guy wants you to freak out but has no real intentions of doing anything. he's just pissed and it makes him happy to get you upset.
still disturbing with all the info available nowadays
