On our way home from touring labor and delivery last night we started talking about names just for fun. ( I think we have officially decided on Elin) Anyways, I told DH I like a couple of names, but could never use them due to our last name. It is a kind of cutesy last name and simple straight forward names work best. I told him if I was single and planned on using my Italian maiden name, Gengo ( Jen-go) I would name my daughter something like
Georgiana
Livia
Lucretia
or Ophelia. When I mentioned Ophelia he started laughing saying no one should ever name their daughter " oh I feel ya." Funny what you never pick up. Thought I'd share for a laugh.
Re: Ophelia, DH's comment
I think that's a pretty common initial though for a lot of people (men in particular it seems)
I love Elin. So simple and pretty.
Thank you! I finally got DH on board with it
Lost Lilah (Audra's twin) at 26 weeks. Cause unknown. Forever in our hearts
Sadly, I've thought of this, too. That's why it has never been on my list... only in my imaginary list. hehe

I think men are especially good at taking the rose-tinted glasses off when it comes to naming.
