A friend of mine is pregnant and is looking for an in-home daycare in MoCo, preferably Gaithersburg/Rockville area. I didn't do any research on daycare while pregnant, so I have no idea where to look. Is there some sort of website with listings or do you just find one via word of mouth? Anyone have any recommendations of a provider or even just a place to research them? TIA!
Re: In-home daycare in MoCo?
The best ways to search for childcare in MoCo are to use the LOCATE service provided by the county, or if you're interested in in-home providers, Monday Morning Moms. If you're looking for reviews of individual places, check out the forums at DC Urban Moms. Good luck to your friend!
<edited> Nevermind. I was going to send you a PM or a center recommendation in Rockville but then I saw she wants in-home.
I'd still love the rec to pass on to her! She looked at a few centers (I'm not sure of which ones) and didn't like them. I don't think she's opposed to centers but just got frustrated with the ones she saw and decided to focus on in-home.
