Preemie clothes

If your babies were premature, how long were they in preemie clothes?  My girls will be born next week at exactly 34 weeks and I'm just wondering how much we should invest in preemie sized onesies, sleepers, etc.

I think we had 3 or 4 preemie outfits but they wore onesies and pants quite a bit (or sleepers).  They started wearing newborn and 0-3 month stuff around 7 or 8 weeks and it was just a little big on them.  They were born at 36 weeks, 2 days and were just over 5 lbs at birth.

Mine wore preemie for over 2 months (3.9 at birth)..It says up to 5 pounds but they wear it longer than that. I would get sleepers and a couple of outfits for them you go to the doctors..Other than that they wore sleepers the whole day.

My babies were born at 34 weeks and they were in the preemie clothes for almost a couple of months! They're 5 and 1/2 months now and are only now in 3-6!

Mine were 34w6d and they wore preemie stuff for about a month. They were 5.1 and 6.1lbs at birth. I just saw some really cute preemie stuff on One Step Ahead the other day.?

My twins were born at 35w6d and were 4lbs9oz and 4lbs15oz and wore preemie clothes for about a month.

Maybe mine are the exception, they were born at 34 weeks and they're just over 2 weeks now and we're putting them into 0-3 stuff.  They are still too "skinny" for the 0-3 stuff, but their legs are way too long for the preemie sleepers.  I would rather have them in things that are a little baggy but will last than to have them in preemie clothes.
