I think you should share what they were painting... It got a gasp from me, that's for sure!
I would, but the only picture I have has all of the kids in it and I'm not comfortable posting photos of other people's children here.
Anyhow, for anyone who is interested, my kids were invited to go over to a friend's house with a bunch of other kids to paint an old white minivan. The van doesn't run anymore and is on its way to the junkyard, so they hauled out a few big containers of tempera paint and went wild.
And no, it was not washable paint.
ETA: Nevermind, forgot I had this photo. It works although you still don't quite get the full effect. This was when the little girls just got started, before they also became covered in paint:

That is the best playdate ever! My DH has a story about doing something similar as a child.
Love it. At first I thought you let the kids paint each other (probably because we've let Carter do it a few times in the summer), but then I read the replies. That is awesome.

How cool is that!
I was wondering. . . that is the awesome-est thing ever.
That is such a cool playdate.
We did that as kids to my uncle's old truck. After we painted it, he decided he wanted to keep it vs taking it to the junk yard...he still has it. :-)
