you used money from your HSA to pay?

Even if your insurance doesn't cover HB?

We just got a policy with an HSA this year so I'm still learning what we can use it for. It'd be great if we could use HSA money with no backlash.

    While our insurance does not cover HB and/or midwifery care, the paperwork for our HSA says the money could be used for midwifery. We've been so pleased with our HSA for the amount of things we can pay for with it including eye exams, over the counter meds, acupuncture, etc.

    The birth center said we would need to submit our payment history to our insurance company to see if they would accept the fee paid to use towards our deductible for the year. We haven't started this yet (has to be done soon though). I'll try to remember to post an update on whether they accepted it.
