Massages are supposed to be done only during the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. Second tri technically begins at 13 weeks 3 days, but some people consider 12 weeks the beginning. Call the place you plan on going and ask them, but I would probably wait a few more weeks.

Yes. Massage is safe during any trimester provided you use a qualified therapist and tell them that you are pregnant. I had one at 5 weeks pregnant and it was heavenly and the therapist had lots of good suggestions for stretches that help with common pregnancy problems, like sciatic nerve issues.

Women can begin massage therapy at any point in their pregnancy ?
during the first, second, or third trimester. Many facilities will
refuse to offer massage to a woman who is still in her first trimester
because of the increased statistics for miscarriage
associated with the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.

Any place I've ever contacted refuses to do them before the 2nd tri, so that's what I'm basing my info off.

I had one with DD @ 8ish weeks because I had a KILLER headache and couldn't take any of my regular meds. It helped, and I just told them I was pregnant.
I also had one at 8 months... AHHHHH!!! So nice!

Go for it! I think the only reason a lot of places dont do them in 1st tri is for their own liability-- heaven forbid if a woman was to miscarry shortly after having a massage they wouldnt want to get sued for "causing" the miscarriage even though massage cant cause a miscarriage they dont want the risk, kwim?
I have a gift card for a massage that I got before I found out I was pg, once I can get a free 2 hours I am TOTALLY getting one!
i went at 20wks and then again 2 days before my due date and it helped induce labor and LO was born right on his due date! i plan on getting at least 2 again for sure. but i would save them for when you really nead it like mid-end of pregnancy
I had one last weekend after checking with both my ob and the massage therapist. My ob said it was perfectly fine, my massage therapist is also certified in prenatal massage.
