Cravings that just can't be satisfied...

Is anyone else having cravings that are impossible to satisfy? I'm not talking about beer or sushi, but something completely random, like a food that isn't available where you live.

This morning, I got THE most intense craving for a particular bagel from this awesome little bagel deli in my college town. It's a Bialy bagel loaded with veggies, cheese, and this awesome creamy italian dressing, then toasted. It's the type of thing that I've never seen anywhere else, and would be completely disappointing to try to recreate. Unfortunately, I live 900 miles from that particular deli, so there's no way that I can satisfy this craving...but I CANNOT STOP THINKING ABOUT THAT DAMN BAGEL.

Anyone else with me? Or am I nutso today?

Oh yea! Pinchos with tostones...I'd have to travel back to my island to satisfy that craving though...depressing!

Fortunately I got to satisfy my main out of town craving over St.Patty's weekend, but I could definately go for more spuds. I feel ya!

The worst part is when you can actually eat the thing you are insanely craving...it's a total letdown!

Yes, there's a cupcake place in NY and around the east coast a bit . . . I believe it's called Crumbs? Oh my word their cupcakes are AMAZING.

I would kill for beef on weck. Unfortunately, I live in CA, and the one place in my county that has it is a weak, sad impression of what's available on the east coast. Sad face.

Oh, and frozen custard! Again, something not common in southern CA. Although I'm going to start searching, just in case!

Did you go to Miami in Oxford OH?  

 I am always hungry but rarely can I figure out what exactly will satisfy me.   It is usually something someone else has--like pizza another teacher brought today for her lunch.

LOL -- close! I went to Ohio University in Athens. Can't say I think too much of Miami, though....
