If you were my keys

Where would you be?  I've searched everywhere.  It is the kids' spring break and we're stuck at home on a rainy day.  Ugh.

Re: If you were my keys

  • I know exactly where they are. They are in the last place you look.

My granny always said that. Used to drive me batty. Yes Gran, like I'm going to keep looking after I've found them - of COURSE they are in the last place I look!

    GL!

  • LOL, at least you made me chuckle.  :)

  • Have you tried the microwave or fridge? How about under or even inside the couch? The trash can?

  • Are they in the car?  I always leave mine in the car.  Check the bathroom - it's usually the first place I go when I come in the house.

DH does the "in the last place you look" thing to me. It was cute the first time he said it.

LOL rarelly ever means that I actually did laugh out loud.  This time it does.

Dandy--try the toy box.  Or, the last time you came in from the car, were you carrying anything in your hands?  Could they have gotten tangled inside a shopping bag or a school bag?  In the pocket of whatever you wore yesterday?

  • They must be hiding with my DH's keys!  He swears he set them on top of the microwave Sunday night and they are no where to be found now.

  • pocked of a coat you rarely wear, but did recently.
  • A friend of mine lost hers recently and they turned up in a utensil drawer in the kitchen.  She thinks they must have been on the counter and fell in.

  • DH's are always under the stool we keep at the end of the bed.  -He tosses his pants there, the keys slide out of his pocket onto the floor between the stool and the bed.

or their in a coat pocket, or in the laundry, or laid down on some random surface in the house (sometimes the bathroom counter)

  • The last time I had this problem, I found them clipped to the cabinet handle on the far side of the kitchen island. Not 2 feet from where my purse was, but not a place I look regularly.

  • Great suggestions but I still haven't found them.  DH gave me his keys though so we won't be stuck at home tomorrow.
