I have been trying to decide what to get L for his birthday next week and my BIL just recommended GeoTrax. He says all his boys play with it still, they're ages 6, 4 and 3.
If you have this would you recommend it over a regular train table + wooden tracks?
TIA!

Re: GeoTrax?
I LOVE GeoTrax. Jakob played with them from ages 2 - 5 and then my parents boxed it all up and shipped it from Michigan so Layna could have them.
We play with them nearly every day. I think they are way better than wooden trains. You can set up crazy configurations and then watch your train go. Wood trains don't give you that battery-operated awesomeness And sometimes you can leave it off and Layna will push the trains around the track.
We have it and I wish we'd gone with a traditional wooden set. My kids are 2 and almost 4 and they don't totally get it. But they go crazy for the wood sets at the children's museum, stores, etc. I think my husband likes the geotrax more than the kids
I do really like that DD (my oldest) can build the tracks herself and she loves all the props. I am sure she could do that with wood tracks, too, though.
