Dry itchy scalp-any remedies?

Like especially right around my hair line at my forehead my scalp is so itchy and dry... it just flakes when I itch it.

 I even resorted to using Neutrogena T Gel shampoo on it and I tried it this morning and it feels more itchy and just as dry.

I put lotion on my face and put it all the way up around my hair line now too and that's doing nothing....

 Any EF remedies to try? Or even not EF? I am desperate!

Tgel never worked for me but I like the Target brand of Head and Shoulders.

Personally, i don't think any of those shampoos work.  Try brushing your scalp really well to loosen up the dead skin and then massaging with olive oil or coconut oil every couple days until it's more balanced.

i've never had dry scalp issues, but I've heard coconut oil is great for this

I always have this problem and was desperate for a natural solution when I was pregnant. After some research, I tried "washing" my  hair with apple cider vinegar a few times and it worked!

What worked best for me was saturating my scalp with ACV in the shower and letting it sit for 5-10 minutes. I do this twice, 2-3 days apart. Wash with a mild shampoo after rinsing (mostly to help get rid of the salad dressing smell). I use straight ACV but you might want to try it diluted 1:1 the first time, especially if your scalp is irritated. After the initial treatment, retreat a single ACV wash every couple of weeks.
