I know it has been asked many times. We are hoping to get something late summer/early fall. Right now we have a 2003 Pontiac Montana and we love it. (almost 120K miles, it is our only vehicle)
I need something we can space out the kids in. (2 rows in back, but really not so fond of a big SUV) We have test drove a Chevy Traverse and I love it, I'm trying to get DH to consider a Honda Odyssey. We are really up for anything, not to pricey.
Re: What kind of vehicle do you drive???
I just got a 2010 Dodge Journey last week. It's super roomy, not too big and I have the 3rd row seating.
I am loving it.
I LOVE our Dodge Grand Caravan (the SE model, no premium features). We bought it new last year. It has by far been the best vehicle I have ever owned. It is so convenient with the kids and I can fit a couple friends in too!
We just bought a Jeep Patriot last week to replace DH's lease as well. It is nice, but does not have the room. We figured we only needed one huge car for transporting the kids
I have a 2007 toyota camry XLE. I love it! It is perfect for someone with 1-2 kids. It handles like a dream, gets good gas mileage, and is loaded with safety and convenience features.
My DH bought it for me after DD was born. The funny part is I had built the car online and never told him about it. He bought me the car as a surprise and picked the exact car I built online, down to the color! He rocks!
What do you mean by not pricey? An newer model Odyssey is still pretty expensive. I drive a 2002 Jeep. It's paid off! But we are looking at getting an Odyssey. I had a Town and Country a few years ago and loved it!
ETA: I have a feeling we will be seeing car pricing either go up or not many incentives due to the crisis in Japan. Many companies are very concerned about a shortage due to lack of parts. You might buy earlier if you see something you like.
not pricey=under 35K. I am hearing about prices going up also, that is why I'm starting my search now. I just don't really know if we can afford it by then. We need to have some stuff paid off first.
