at my 30 wk appt i measured 29 wks according to belly measurements. my obgyn says this is fine. she palpated baby and says that he feels to be average sized. of course she is not worried at all which is reassuring. i noticed that quite a few of us are measuring ahead so just wondering if anyone else is also measuring behind.

Re: anyone measuring behind?
I have been measuring right on track through this pregnancy until my last appointment. I was 1 day shy of 28 weeks and measuring 27 weeks. This is different for me because with DS I always measured ahead.
Fundal height can be a little deceiving though, depending on how the baby is positioned. If the baby is transverse, for example, you may measure a little smaller. Breech babies can make you measure ahead. This kiddo seems to like to lie obliquely a lot, so I feel like one side of my uterus is higher than the other. They always measure me in the midline, so maybe that was it.....
My OB wasn't worried at all about me measuring a week behind either....but of course as a mama I am a little (as i'm sure you are too). I hope that at the next appointment I have "caught up." She said that the only reason they'd do a growth u/s in the future to check things out would be if I fell further behind in measurements.

Yeah...at my 26 week I measured 23!! So...I'm having another ultrasound today just over 28 weeks along with my glucose test. My OB wanted to do a cervix check also b/c I'm going on a trip t Mexico next weekend so she wanted to make sure everything looked good.
I tried to put on some more lbs over the last month so that baby could catch up...she wasn't too concerned but it was a reality check for me!
