Hello June Mommies

Just wanted to say hello.  My first time on the June board.  I am trying to find the right place to be on the bump.  I am technically not due until July 3rd but baby is measuring a week ahead so, I decided to come to the June board (the first due date I was given was June 26th but then got changed).  I left the 2nd tri board and started the 3rd but feel lost in 3rd so, here I am.

On another note- I've been feeling annoyed when people only ask me how the baby is doing (mostly by my FILs).  I feel like they treat me like I'm just the person carrying their grandbaby.  Don't get me wrong, I love my ILs and love this baby but sometimes, I don't want to be bombarded with questions about the baby EVERY SINGLE DAY.  I get asked EVERY SINGLE DAY- how's the baby? has the baby grown?  has your bump grown? I know everyone is very excited about the baby but I feel overwhelmed when all I get asked is the same questions about the baby.  I try to be polite and say, I'm sure the baby is growing and I don't notice my bump growing overnight but I suppose it's growing too.

Personally, I hate the "how are you feeling?" comments because I must get asked that a million times a day.  I want to wear a shirt that says "I feel fine until further notice" or start giving every ache and pain so they stop asking all of the time.

Welcome! I agree, the how are you feeling comments all daayyy everydaayy can get a bit annoying b/c most of the time I am sore,achy and tired and who really wants to hear that? I just say "fine, thank you". It's nice that they even care to ask, but annyoing at times. Anyway, welcome!

Welcome!  And I hate the "how's baby" comments too.  What I really want to say is..."Well, I think she's doing well.  She moves.  I hear her heart beat every 2 weeks, but I haven't seen her in 11.  So, I guess all is well."  I really do think she's fine, but I just hate that question.

Haha! I know how that feels! My father in law insists on asking me "Is the baby moving around a lot?" EVERY time he sees me (which is more than once a week). He started asking me this before I had even felt her move. Ive started saying "yep shes still moving" every time he asks. Same question. Same reply. (even though sometimes i want to scream "she will be moving for the rest of her life so YES SHE IS MOVING!")  It is annoying but hormones have me annoyed at the slightest thing these days so I just brush it off.

We are due the same day except my original due date was July 3rd and I measured a week ahead on my early ultrasound (now im due june 26) so I decided to move to this board but I still post on the July board, too.

Welcome. Be thankful you don't have my MIL. If I talk to her past a certain time she yells at me and tells me the baby should be in bed. When she comes to visit she says I need to nap like I'm a two year old. She's a bit ridiculous to say the least.

Welcome to the board! I'm a bit of newbie myself... (I can't even figure out how to add that little ticker thingie at the end of my posts!

 

Am I the only one who doesn't care that people ask how I'm doing?? They're usually asking because they're genuinely interested or want to make sure I'm ok... and that's fine with me! I'm not one who likes being babied or smothered but people taking care of me lately has been a great thing.
