We started DS on 1 tablespoon of rice cereal last night. DS only poops about every 6-9 days (I posted last week about our terrible 9 day blowout in a sposie). He's been EBF until yesterday.
How long did it take for you to see a difference in your LO's poop? I guess for his next #2, we need to go ahead and put it in the toilet, right? He'll be getting rice cereal 1 time (maybe 2) per day for the next few days.

Re: Started solids: Did you see a change in #2 right away?
Yes, it was instantly different, in both frequency and consistency. But I started with avocado and banana instead of rice cereal, so I'm not sure how that impacted things.
My boys were infrequent poopers back then, too. Oh, those were the days!

We are doing BLW and saw a transition to the peanut butter poop almost right away. That only lasted a week or two and then it became plop-able, and has been ever since.

Yep. It got nasty almost immediately, then stayed nasty and non-ploppable for a couple of months and I had to spray every poop diaper. Now we have ploppable poop- FINALLY!!
When EBF she had a BM about every 2-3 days. We started with cereal too and I had to scrape because it was very peanut buttery. We started introducing fruits and veggies and now she has about two BMs per day. In the morning her BMs are usually ploppable and the 2nd/evening one needs to be scrapped some. I think it's because in the morning I mix in cereal with her food and the afternoon it's just fruit/veggies - but that's just my theory. I just started seeing consistently ploppable about one month and half after starting solids. HTH!
