We are looking in to it. Not everything they offer is organic bc to become certified organic is expensive and out of reach for many of their farmers. I am
In the process of researching their practices and if it truly does check out to be chemical and pesticide free we will sign up. They don't deliver to us but we will have it delivered to dhs office. I hope to make a final decision this week and I can let you know how it goes. We have to be super careful about chemicals, our research would a little overkill for most but it's looking good so far!!

Thanks! I'd love to hear how you like it. They really should offer a strictly organic basket. Maybe you should suggest it.

Thought you might be interested in this basket. It doesn't explicitly say it, but I'm assuming everything here would be organic.

I've been going back and forth with them this week about what is and what is not organic. It frustrates me that they don't label it. I do understand that just because it isn't "certified" doesn't mean that good farming practices weren't used. It is just hard for me to trust.
Here is their reply when I asked last week:
"Any produce that is NOT locally sourced is Certified Organic. Any produce we source locally may or may not be Certified Organic, but all our farmers use sustainable methods, which means zero pesticide or chemicals. While they may not be Certified Organic they are using organic farming practices. For many of the smaller farms becoming Certified Organic is an expensive and time consuming process that they don?t have the resources to tackle."
We used it a few years ago (pre kids) when they first started. Overall - it was really good produce. Our issue was we didn't use everything in the basket and they had less options for what you could order. I've been looking into it again - it would definitely help us out. They had good customer service when we used them and we never had any issues with deliveries.

I'm sure it's a liability thing with all the nit-picky rules about food labeling. Thanks for sharing their response. I didn't realize "sustainable methods" meant no chemicals. I don't have the same issues you're dealing with, of course, but that makes me feel even better about them. Good luck with your decision!

Pricing is similar to WF. The selection keeps getting better. We've used them off and on since right before H was born, so 3.5 years.
My only complaint is that they deliver to my house so dang late. It used to be mid-afternoon, but it's slowly creeped to 8:30pm or later. The dogs go apeshit when anybody comes to our door, which sucks around bedtime.
We looked into using a similar company, Farmhouse Delivery but I was worried we wouldn't eat everything in the box before it went bad. We've gone a few times to Boggy Creek Farm and have been very happy with the items we picked up there.
we were gifted the local box delivery from Greenling a long time ago and we liked it. But we LOVE Johnson's backyard garden. they are a family run small farm, organic produce. they are at several farmer's markets across town. they have pickups throughout the week and looks like they have some Cedar Park/RR pickup sites. check them out! they also have super fun potlucks at the farm 2x year, one this sunday
also...we are able to use the box the best when we split it with a neighbor, it is a lot of produce. we also work through it better if we prep it quickly and plan well. Johnson's website has great recipes/blog/forums, etc to help you too.
Re: Random NBR: Anyone try Greenling.com?
