Hi All...wanted to see if anyone had recs for a fertility clinic in baton rouge. My dh and I live in Covington and have been to the fertility institute in Mandeville and I know they are affliated with the New Orleans one as well. I am looking for another option. TIA

There are a couple girls on here who have had success with some BR fertility doctors.  AIDT comes to mind first but I know there are more.  Hopefully they'll see this!

If not, go page allinduetime over on the BR nest board.  I think she lurks somewhat regularly over there.

I saw Dr. Dunaway at The Fertility Institute, but saw him at his Baton Rouge location.  The only other office I know of is Dr. Webster at Woman's Hospital.

I've been seeing Dr. Webster at A Woman's Center for Reproductive Medicine and I just got my BFP!  He and his staff are the best!

Dr. Webster at Woman's is amazing. I love everyone in that office. I did get my first bfp with them but miscarried 5wks 5days. We will be going back to them in the fall when we're going to try again. I highly recommend them.

I saw Dr. Dunaway years ago in New Orleans and in Baton Rouge.  He had me on clomid for a year, 3 iui's with injections and no success at all.  I later transferred to a doctor in Houston and was successful in getting pregnant via ivf.  I'm now doing ivf again through another doctor in Lafayette (Dr. Storment) whom I absolutely love!  I wouldn't advise seeing Dunaway... I was told later by another RE that he should have never had me on clomid for a year.  If you can make the trip to Lafayette... Storment would be worth your while!  Good luck to you!

How did you like Dr. Dunaway? I've been going to him now for about 8 months TTC our 2nd child.

i personally loved dr. dunaway.  their office worked with me because we were 100% out of pocket, and he doesn't blow smoke up your butt - he tells it like it is, and i appreciate that. 

on another note, i had the total opposite reaction from dr. dunaway than the previous poster had when he reviewed my records from my ob about taking clomid - i had done seven rounds of it with my ob and was told that if he doesn't have success within two cycles of clomid, he moves to injectables because the chances of it working drop drastically after that.  

the previous poster did say that she had seen him years ago, so that may account for the difference in treatment plans.   things change all the time with ART.

 Me and my partner have had our our first iui consultation with Dr. Webster on the 17th and was looking for another Dr. just for a second option.  Could any of you please give me more info about Dr. Dunaway and maybe the steps you have gone thru, etc.  I would greatly appreciate it.

I went to Dr. Webster on the rec of several of my friends...he and his staff are AMAZING. He is like a grandfather figure...and super easy to talk to...my appointments throughout the month were literally 15-20 minutes...and when I call his office, my call is returned within the hour. I also actually see Dr. Webster everytime I go in...unless only for bloodwork...

Although he & staff are really friendly...I found that they told whatever it was to me straight...I just finished my second round of injectables with him...and am now 5 weeks pregs. will continue to see him for several more weeks before he returns me back to my original ob...

I am seeing Dr. Dunaway. My husband and I have been going to him since August, and so far I really like him. At first I wasn't too sure about him. He seems like he is cold (or not a good bedside manner I guess?) but after my second appointment he grew on me. He doesn't sugar coat it with us, and for that I can respect the man. I've had two surgeries in the last two months, and we go back on the 23rd to get our game plan as to what is next on our fertility plan.

I loved Dr. Dunaway and his staff!  I have a beautiful 17 month old son.  Dr. Dunaway came in to his office the Sunday after Thanksgiving to do my IUI personally.  It took me about 8 months to conceive.  I tried clomid for 2 months then was on injectables.  I would definately use him if I decide to have another child!
