Anyone else NOT using birth control?

DH and I have decided that once we get the go ahead at my 6 week apointment, we will not be using birth control (as long as my doctor thinks it's safe for me to get pregnant right away just in case).  DH will be deploying about a month after my 6 week appointment, so chances of me getting pregnant in that month are low.  If I do get pregnant then, that's great!  We want to go ahead and start trying for #2.  If we don't get pregnant before he deploys, then it'll be at least 9 months before we can and I think that is more than enough time between babies.  Am I the only crazy one who is ready for #2 already?

My sister and I are like that - 12 months 9 days difference.

We're going on the mini pill for a few months cause my doctor wants me to wait 6 months before I get pregnant but then after October, we're going off and letting nature take it's course.   I hope to have the two about 15 -18 months apart

As long as my doctor is ok with this possibility, then I am too.  2U1 is a little daunting, but I'd rather have that be a possibilty than waiting and having a few years in between them.

You are one BRAVE woman! We are waiting 4 years give or take!

DH and I are in the same boat - sorta.  We have decided to let nature take it's course as long as my OB gives us the ok.  I liked being pregnant and being a mom is even better.  DH and I both have large age gaps with our siblings - 6 years for him and 12 years for me.  We want our children to be much closer in age.

Very brave!  I already have 2U1....Nooo way am I taking the chance of getting 3U1! YIKES!  I already feel like I don't have enough arms!!

My DH would love to start right away but I'd like to wait 6-9 mo before trying again.  Still keeping LOs close in age and SS not too much of a gap (he's already 6).

If it works for your family, then go for it. 

 

I can not fathom EVER having a second child right now.  People tell me I will change my mind.

We more than likely won't be using birth control either. I'm not up for round 2 yet but we think birth control is kind of a silly waste of money. My brother was concieved on condoms and the pill, my best friend got pregnant while protecting, my SIL got pregnant with number 4 on the pill and condoms so we have seen it fail a lot. I think we will try some natural family planning instead of traditional forms of birth control....oh I think my other SIL got pregnant on the pill, plus DH's best gal pal, a coworker friend of mine got knocked up in high school while on birth control, and the list could go on if I thought about it some more.

We plan to try for #2 around LO's 1st birthday.  I haven't decided if I will get back on the pill for that short of time or if we will use other methods. 

I do understand being ready for another!!  I am ready to do it again, however, I am not up to have 2U1! haha!!

We won't be using BC once I get the all clear from my doctor.  We won't actually start trying until about August of next year but if it happens before then, fine.  We struggled to get pregnant with #1 so if we have an "oops" with #2 it would save a lot of headache and heartaches!

We used the counting method before and we will use it again.  I might ask the doctor about the mini-pill since I am EBF.  I would be okay with being pregnant again... but boyfriend wants to wait.

I don't think I'll go on birth control... If it was up to DH we would also start trying for #2 right away, but I want to wait until DD is a year old... but if I get pregnant before then that's ok too DH and his brother are a year apart and he loved the closeness he had/has with his brother.... I come from a large family with 2 brothers and 2 sisters, but the gap between me and them is 13 years... so I really didn't have that bond with my siblings which I would have really liked
