Babies R Us Registry Question

Hi, all...

Just a quick question about babies r us registries.

If I get "duplicates" of something, but the gift-giver does not include the receipt, what are the rules on that?  Will I get a "full" store credit or am I stuck with the item?  Will they "price it down" in any way (what if, for example, the buyer COULD have used a coupon for 20% off but there's not a receipt indicating that she DIDN'T use a coupon?  

Just wondering.  I've heard complaints and I want to know what I'm in for... Thanks in advance for ANY advice related to registering at BRU.  I like BBB SOOOO much better, but they are not easy to get to for my shower guests...

    I just marked my registry as the item being bought twice, printed off my registry and they gave me cash a few times and store credit for large items.

    I've never had a problem with returns from my registry. I got a store credit every time and haven't seen sale prices. Also, I've returned stuff not on my registry and they didn't even ask questions. I've had a good experience.

    I asked this question a few weeks ago when I registered.  The girl told me that as long as the gift giver linked it to my registry it would not be a problem returning it.
