AW: Crawler!

I'm finally calling K a crawler and not just a scooter or puller.  Today she did a hands and knees crawl in her brace...backwards.  I am so pumped!  She's really been working on this so much and was just so happy.  Up to now she's just kind of pulled herself/scooted along her butt or rolled anywhere she wants to go.

I know this is late for most babies to crawl; the doc said some babies crawl and walk in their brace, some just wait until it comes off.  I am so glad K figured it out - she can pull to standing in the brace so maybe she will end up learning to walk in it. I am so glad she's not going to be super delayed.

And for the holy crap moment of the day: time to get the baby gates up!

Ha!  We've learned to move when she swings around or rolls, because she kept banging into us with the metal bar on her brace and I was getting beat up!

Yay, go K!! That's awesome that she learned to do it with her brace!! And she's really not late .. Hudson didn't crawl on his hands and knees til 10 months (it was all 'army crawling' up until then)

And considering Max was not in a brace and didn't crawl until 15 months, I don't think 10 months is late at all.  I bet you are right and she figures out walking soon enough!

Schedules, shmedules.  I know it's hard not to compare your babies to others...  Heck, Madelyn was sitting independently at Will's current age and he's not there yet....so I know it's hard not to compare.

But I think it's fantastic K is crawling considering her brace...."late" or not!!!!

Yay, yay, yay for Miss K! And 10-months isn't that late. My pedi always said that crawling isn't considered a milestone because some kiddos skip it all together. She's is such an awesome little chickadee! Way to crawl, little lady!

Awesome! Go Little Girl Go!  As a fellow brace wearer I'm so glad for her & love that you support her no matter what!  I have a leg brace which is different than K I believe but still She can do anything she puts her mind to.
