my DD is 12wks - 6wks adjusted, and she is on Neosure. I give her the ready to feed liquid, but was curious if the powder version was any easier or more difficult to digest on a preemie's tummy?
i feed my baby both powder and ready to feed similac. the powder is cheaper and lasts longer once open. we got samples of both from our pedi. i really like the powder because i can mix exactly what i need.
We def noticed a difference between the powder and the ready to feed. DD was much less gassy and fussy with the powder. Plus we could increase her calorie intake by adding an extra 1/2 scoop.
Powder is a lot cheaper. We just use the water out of the refrigerator (filtered) fill the bottle to 6 ozs then put it in the microwave for 20secs add the powder. Since formula should never be heated in the microwave. Then you never need to worry about how long has this formula been in the refrigerator. If you have a well then you should use bottle water or you can get it tested to see if it safe to use with babies.

thanks so much, I think I am going to switch DD to powder to start saving some $.
ok this question sounds dumb, but what type of water do you use? I wouldn't think tap water would work..so bottle water or "nursery water'?
