Breastfeeding

I feel "deflated" after a pumping session... anybody else?

I feel like after I pump my breasts are totally deflated..like a balloon thats lost the majority of its air...  and they feel that way all day! I only pump twice, once in the AM and once before bed, so its not like I'm overpumping ( if thats even possible... ?)  I'm only pumping for 15-20 minutes max.

It makes me worried that he's not getting enough milk after pumping sessions, which I know is silly ..

Maybe it'll regulate soon??  I'm still getting semi engorged since he's sleeping longer stretches at night, but thats nowhere as bad as it has been...

Its just such a funny feeling... :)

  • I feel deflated alot more now that my LO is starting solids. I am just hoping that they don't look like this forever! : / I think it is normal.

  • I am on the same pumping schedule as you and I feel the same way too, soft/deflated all day after pumping. I guess our babies will let us know if they're not getting enough. I've just started pumping within the last week though so I am waiting to see if my body adjusts and the "deflated" feeling goes away.
