Best CD for fat thighs?

I have been using Fuzzibunz, TotsBots, BumGenius, BottomBumpers, and Kawaii diapers thus far. Fuzzibunz is the majority of my stash, they were a gift. In the beginning we had problems with leak. Then, I got the fit right. Now, they just chafe (sp?) her legs SO bad. If I loosen them, they leak. She might as well not be wearing a diaper. I am just tired of messing with them. The Bottombumpers are the easiest on her thighs. However, H hates them and doesn't want me to get more of them. He doesn't like aplix, either.

All the others I have tried are good, but I was thinking about trying a new kind. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what type of OS diaper I might try for a baby with HUGE, cute, thighs? Lol

TIA!

  • Happy Heiny's seem to be good for fat thighs. They have roll out fleece so they don't chafe chunky thighs.

This. I like the fit on my chunkier baby and they come in either aplix or snaps. I like both the fleese and the organic OS.

We liked Happy Heinys too.  My DS had chunky thighs & a skinny waist and they worked great.

  • My little chunker was best in BGs... and I'm glad because he thinned out quite a bit and they still fit him nicely.  One of my good friends has her VERY thick-legged boy in Blueberries.  She loves them.

  • If you don't want to just buy and try a bunch, you can also email Stephanie, the owner of Abby's Lane.  She's fantastic at answering these types of questions and has 7 years of experience with diapering her own kids AND hearing customer reviews of different diapers in different situations.  abbyslane@aol.com
  • My friend has a daughter with very chunky thighs and she tried lots of different diapers and ended up loving knickernappies side snapping diapers.

I totally agree. Stephanie is awesome.

  • Another vote for Happy Heinys. DS is not chunky at all so they didn't work for us. I am still trying to sell my one if you would like one just to try out.

  • DS has seriously chunky thighs. They are thicker than my biceps. We use babyland diapers from eBay. I bought them last year around August or so and LOVE them. I don't have any leaks when I stuff them with hemp (DS is an extremely heavy wetter). The PUL also seems to be comparable to BG which I have a few of. When I use these and the BG there are no red marks on his legs.

    Hope this helps.
