So DH and I are having a girl....but i was just thinking that his name is Scott and my brother's name is Thomas. Both of these names i've never seen on this message board, but i think they are both great boy names.
what does everyone else think of them? They aren't "popular" and are traditional name choices (in my opinion). So i just thought i'd throw them out there and see what everyone else has to say about it.
Any other boy names that you don't see often on here that you think are nice?
P.S. i'm not planning on using either of them on future children, just "throwing" them out there to the boards!
Re: Boy Names - Thomas/Scott
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I love Thomas! Scott is nice as well.
i wish i heard more thomas and a lot less ayden names~
I actually hear Thomas a lot (not necessarily on these boards but just in general) and I think it's a great name. Scott is nice too, but I wouldn't use it myself. I hear it a lot these days as a middle name.
Others I thought of..
Philip
Timothy
Andrew
Robert
Dean
Davis
Joseph
Raymond
Forrest
Charles
IRL, I hear Thomas all the time. But maybe it is just our area.
I do think Scott is underused. It is a family (surname) name for my DH's side of the family, so maybe we will use it in the future!
Scott is my Dad's middle name, I like it and it is a potential middle name for us.
Thomas is a great name also. I really like the name Simon but haven't heard too many small boys named that recently.
i see thomas and scott mentioned pretty often on this board...especially as middle name options.
i think they're both decent names.
